Esta planta (género Aframomun, familia de las Zingiberáceas) se encuentra facilmente en el bosque gabonés. Se suele comer la pulpa blanca .. si masticas las semillas negras, entenderas por qué se le llama "pimienta africana".. muy refrescante. This fruit belongs to a zingiberaceus plant (Aframomun sp.). It is edible but you should just eat the white flesh. I you chew the black seeds you will understand the common name... Anyway, it is very refreshing while going on a jungle tour.
