We got to the town of Phang Nga today, after a night train from Bangkok and a 2hour bus from Surat Thani. This place is very scenic, the town is completely surrounded by calcareous mountains. Tomorrow we are going on a boat tour around the bay. Cross fingers that we don´t get too much rain... south west monsoon is on.
Tras una noche de tren y dos horas de bus hemos llegado a Phang Nga, un pueblo rodeado de formaciones calcáreas como las que (apenas) se ven en la foto (parecen gorros de pitufo). Mañana vamos en bote por la bahía, donde se ven montañas similares pero saliendo del mar... un paisaje que siempre había soñado con ver.... crucemos los dedos para que no se tire todo el día lloviendo... estamos en época de monzón.
I am travelling with Jessica, a girl that I just met in the fruity circuit. I love her because she likes improvising just like me. In the afternoon we went to these awesome waterfalls in this lush and green forest, just 10 min ride from town. Although there had been heavy rains at midday, the afternoon remained sunny and dry. We feasted on mangoes by the river and then went to look for durian back in town. We were both enjoying the same way, a really good connection!
A la tarde, Jessica, la chica con la que estoy viajando ahora y yo hemos ido a unas cataratas dentro de este alucinante bosque. De lo mejor, no hay fotos porque dejamos las mochilas río abajo. Estuvimos remontando el río y llegamos a unas cataratas donde podías meterte detrás de la cortina de agua... era como estar en otra dimensión. Hemos salido de allí bien sedaditas.
