Tricoscypha abut

This fruit is locally harvested and sold at Gamba market. I had never seen it before. The tree belongs to the Anacardiaceae family: Tricoscypha abut and the common name for the fruit in Gabon is "amvutt". Just by the colour you can already tell that it is full of vitamins. The taste is slightly acidic but really nice. However, this fruit is very delicate and doesn´t stand too much transport: one of these treasures that you can only consume locally
